[RFCI] Request for community input on proposed BetaNYC Code of Conduct & anti-harrasement policy
TL;DR – BetaNYC is proposing a Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment policy. We want your input. Feel free to hop into this Google doc and use Google’s built in commenting, or give private feedback at < firstname.lastname@example.org >.
Since our founding, BetaNYC has adopted “safe and open” spaces to bring individuals together to work on issues related to government. We constantly reminded ourselves to respect each other’s ideas and work on solving larger problems. Though the years, we have built a safe and respected space for government to interact openly with New York City’s technology, design, and advocacy community.
Last year, BetaNYC and Code for America Brigade openly discussed how to take “safe spaces” and applying them to our events and community.
In the lead up to a larger BetaNYC membership platform launch, the organizers of BetaNYC are proposing a Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy.
