NYC Open Data Week 📣

This Week in NYC Civic Tech / Gov Watch 🏛️
Early voting starts in two weeks! Here are the key things to know:
- October 26 is the deadline to apply for an early mail ballot, absentee ballot, and voter registration via mail, online, email, or fax. It is also the last day to register to vote in-person.
- Early voting takes place from October 26 through November 3. Find your poll site and hours.
Do you know your districts? Our tool Boundaries Map provides the most up-to-date legislative and community districts.
ICYMI: We teamed up with the Educational Council Consortium to create a dashboard allowing school leaders to explore NYC Public School Allocations and Budget data. Shoutout to Ashley, Erik, Audrey, and Zhi who worked on this project! You can learn more about their project process in this recap.
NYC’s lower speed limits take effect in some areas in light of Sammy’s Law passing. Prospect Park West will become the first street with the new speed limits.

- NYC Analytics Exchange is hosting the fourth annual Learning Summit on October 23 and 24! It will feature ten educational sessions for New York City employees to improve their skills in data analytics, data engineering, and data governance. Registration is open to City employees only, and the link only works on the City network. - The Tech Talent Pipeline and CUNY are looking for software engineers to help students improve their technical interviewing skills.
