What’s New in NYC Tech – November 1, 2024

Welcome to November and a very Happy Native American Heritage Month. This month, we choose to give thanks for all the unique opportunities that enable us to build community, and we give thanks to those who have helped us in the fight of good over evil. This weekend is the last weekend to ensure that our NY state constitution enshrines equal rights. When we wrote our People’s Roadmap to a Digital New York, we declared four freedoms for the 21st Century. Each one is predicated on universal suffrage and human rights. This is the embodiment of our state motto, Excelsior… Ever upward.

Also, Hell Gate has published research using AI to look at NYPD addressing illegal parking. Lastly, the FDNY is rolling out EMS bikes this weekend. This is due to the overwhelming congestion in Manhattan. Lastly, say goodbye to our favorite outdoor dining sheds. By the end of November, they will all be down. Truly an end of an era.
