What’s New in NYC Tech – October 18, 2024

Hello everyone, we have 17 days till election day!! We are encouraging our community to learn more about NYC’s Propositions! We have a chance to ratify a Equal Rights Amendment and say no to five anti-democratic proposals!

Second! We have some exciting news to share! CUNY’s Public Interest Tech Lab and BetaNYC have secured a New America PIT-UN Challenge grant! Learn more from this announcement from Rev. Dr. Katie Cumiskey. This award will allow us to explore expanding our Civic Innovation Fellowship into a career pipeline, regardless of CUNY School and major! Furthermore, we will have a NYC PIT POP-UP — imagine an Apple Store for Public Interest Tech, Open Data, and Service Design!! Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible!
