We are thrilled to continue fostering the next generation of civic leaders through our Apprenticeship Program. Associates within BetaNYC’s Apprenticeship Program are typically early career individuals who are interested in gaining experience in public interest technology. As integral staff members of BetaNYC’s team, the Associates help run BetaNYC’s Civic Innovation Fellowship programs, manage communications for BetaNYC’s public programming, and assist with data analysis, design, and web development for our work in the Civic Innovation Lab.

We would like to introduce our new Data Analyst Lab Associate, Audrey Leung! Our team is excited and honored to begin working in collaboration with Audrey on research and data analysis, towards improving public services with technology and data in NYC.

Audrey Leung

Audrey (she/her) is currently pursuing BSs in Computer Science, Math, and Urban Studies at Fordham University. She is passionate about leveraging her technical background in public policy oriented contexts, especially in the realms of education and housing data analytics.

Audrey has a diverse background ranging from working at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office to internships in aerospace. Currently, she also mentors middle school students in the Bronx and is involved in Fordham University’s Educational Data Mining Lab.

Although a Southern California native, Audrey enjoys fully immersing herself in the rich culture of NYC. In her free time, you can find her exploring art museums, reading on the subway, and playing chess in the park.
